For our guests arrangements can be made to have the car of your choice delivered and picked up from La Garita Bed & Breakfast free of charge. In combination with our door-to-door shuttle service upon arrival and departure to and from the airport this is the ideal situation. Leaving long lines of rental office far behind you.
In case you are searching the web for the perfect price for a quality car you will notice that the propositions can be very obscure. Especially the coverage of the insurances. The security deposits can be excessive and might take a great part of
the available credit on your credit card.
The rental terms and conditions we arranged for our quests are as follows:

Free drop off and pick up at La Garita Bed & Breakfast

No drop off charge for the return of the car in 19 different locations all over the country for rentals of three days or longer.

Credit card insurance is not accepted in Costa Rica, you are obliged to purchase the basic insurance.

Basic insurance includes coverage for collision damage waiver (CDW), Liability (LI), and car theft (CT). The basic insurance has a deductible of US$ 750.00 for the CDW and the CT. The security deposit for the basic insurance is US$ 750.00. It also carries a 20% deductible for damages incurred to Third-Party property.

There is an optional insurance to avoid the deductible of US$ 750.00 of the basic insurance. This optional insurance has a cost of US$
10 per day and it covers the CDW and CT deductibles as well as theft of accessory parts of the car.
The security deposit in this case is US$ 100.00. The 20% deductible for damages incurred to Third-Party property is not covered.

To avoid the 20% deductable for damages to Third-Party property the
extra All-Risk insurance cost US$7 per day. The security deposit
remains US$100.

The cost for an extra driver is US$ 2.00 per day per driver.

21 years old and holder of a valid credit card, passport and drivers license.

of the car. You can use it for local calls and to receive international calls only.
